Bad Pod....

Okay "SHE" is being naughty. I'm in iTunes version 7.1.0.59....

#1 My Pod is being called my name and I don't know how to change it.
#2 If I want to add something to my Pod it deletes other stuff I've already added.
#3 It is adding obscure things like tunes for games.
#4 It won't take my "Freaky Friday" Soundtrack CD.

Any help is wonderful. Step by step instructions is even better.

You might check to see if it's on manual or automatic syncing...I use manual because I'm a control freak like that. It's probably going through your harddrive and selecting any music type, so that's another reason to do things manually. There's an ipod comm here that might be more help than I am!

ipod

The soundtrack...You have to add it to your library in iTunes first, then you can put it in your ipod. after that, I just play with stuff until it does what I want.

Okay where do I do that? When I click on my Pod's name? Preferences? Where? I like being in control too but I way out of control here and I'm going mad.

Joined that group thanks.

The soundtrack in in the iTunes but it won't put it on the Pod. Grrr....

Oh, and to set it to manual, hook up the ipod, then click on the name of it then you'll see a screen to the right with tabs. Choose the music one and you can set it from automatic to manual, at least I think that's where it is...heh.

Nope.

When I go to Summary there is a box to check for Manually adding to your iPod but when I click it you still have to go into the thing and Sync it. I don't understand. *head desk*

I hate not knowing what I'm doing. Why didn't it come with a manual!

Go to the iTunes program; click on Help at the top on the menu and click on iPod help; or if you are on the computer, type in iTunes iPod - it should open up to the apple website for iTunes - there are manuals to download, specific to your edition of iPod.
