Fandom Talk...
Oh but let's!

1. Supernatural is back! I love these two! I mean a lot. I don't get how it is that even when I'm disgusted by the episode... I still love them and can't stop the watching of these two beautiful men. *sigh* But seriously, I totally enjoyed the season opener.[Spoiler (click to open)]It was like the Zombie Apocalypse or something. I really enjoyed it and loved how the boys pretended to be FBI only to basically start bickering about the Darkness and freeing it and what to do and finding a cure... I loved that the Deputy was like... FBI, my ass. Cover blown guys. And then the mark is still in play for different reasons and the woman is the baby? And Sam is infected. Man. Still not loving the whole let's argue for 10 minutes over what to do. And Dean, 10 seasons ago you'd have been searching for a cure whether Sam was infected or not. I miss the good old days and I think both of the boys need to let go of some things and stop making everything so complicated. *tap tap tap* Are you listening writers???? Probably not.

2. They've been dumped! So I tried to watch Life in Pieces and Minority Report. I just got bored and couldn't stand to watch them. So they are out. Quantico is getting close. I mean it is a little interesting but it needs to grab my attention more.

3. Sleepy Hollow is also back and a show I really love. However, I wasn't impressed with the season opener but I'm hoping it will do better. They did have a good mix of seriousness and Icabods quirkiness.

4. The Flash is back too. The first episode left a little to be desired but I enjoyed Barry realizing what Oliver on Arrow took an entire season to which is that just because someone could be in danger doesn't mean they need to be removed from your life... see you still care about them and they remain in danger. We'll see how long it lasts though. I need to watch Arrow now. Haven't had the chance.

5. There is so much more like Blindspot, Arrow, The Muppets, The Originals and Vampire Diaries that I need to get to though the last two just air tonight but who knows when I'll watch.

6. Part of the reason I'm behind is I couldn't stop watching Grimm. I love that show. I love the humor they all have together and I'm shocked by the season 4 finale. I didn't think that would happen. And Adaline, Kelly, Juliette... Sean... I do love that they have these mini archs in their archs. Sure some cases don't wrap up in an episode but I love that it might be three and yet they contain part of the story so it is like they've wrapped up a little. It is amazing. Can't wait for Season 5 to start around Halloween!

7. I did watch Grandfathered and Grinder. I'm not sure about Grandfathered but Grinder or The Grinder is pretty funny. We'll see.

I'm going to reserve my thoughts on SPN and the Darkness until a couple more episodes. I was a little 'Oh no' with the whole Darkness saves Dean's life and now they are connected forever thing. I'm a little over that kind of thing in the show, but shall wait and see how it goes. Like you, no matter how I feel about episodes or even whole seasons, I can't stop watching the show because I still love and care for the boys and will be there until the end. And end I just hope won't be bitter. But still have good hopes for this season.

Haven't caught up on anything else yet except The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, but won't say anything until you've watched and shared your thoughts.

I can see SPN going bad but just with the first episode I enjoyed it. Haven't seen last nights episode yet.

I did watch the Vampire Diaries and it was odd. I mostly liked it but all the insinuation that something happened 3 years from now... just too much. Part of me wonders if it is Lily or Caroline. Have to wait and see I guess.

I need to watch The Originals but I've had so little time.

I love Blindspot. The acting is spot on and the story line is so brilliant and fresh. Try to see it and stay with it if you can. I'm watching Quantico, but it's becoming a convoluted mess. Hard to figure out what's going on. I'll give a bit more time though.

I guess you know by now that I finished all 10 seasons of SPN and it took nine days shy of three months. I am well and truly hooked on the show now. I liked the season 11 premiere and have watched it three times.

I watch Sleepy Hollow, too. Have you caught up on Castle yet?
Jill aka Jo: OB: Calsireesanwar on October 15th, 2015 12:27 am (UTC)
I am really loving Blindspot too. It is really good and I'm loving the twists and turns. I especially liked that we are starting to learn more about the other team members and that we are only guessing as to whether or not Jane is Taylor at this point.

Yes, Quantico is becoming a convoluted mess. I am starting to think I don't care enough about it to keep watching.

Yes, I do know that. I loved the premiere but I only watched in once.

I have caught up on Castle and I'm annoyed with Kate. What the heck is she hiding? I do love Rick though. He's all about winning her back and the secret room in his office. He's too adorable.
Jo Annyeuxdebleu on October 15th, 2015 01:35 am (UTC)
Blindspot is the best new show this season, IMO. I'm curious to find out about the "Daylight" project and why they're so afraid Jane's tattoos will give it away. And just when we thought we knew Jane was Taylor Shaw, they make us doubt it. LOVE Jamie Alexander and the actor who plays Kurt Weller.

I'm still hanging in there on Quantico. What I want to know is who really was responsible for the bombing so I'll probably stick with it.

Tonight's SPN looks really good, too, judging by clips and previews I've seen.

I'm VERY annoyed with Kate, too. For heaven's sake, just tell Rick what she's doing. Why does she have to keep it a secret? Why is she so afraid of his disapproval over her not giving up on avenging her mother's death? Sheesh!
Jill aka Jo: Movie: BH6 Baymax Hisireesanwar on October 15th, 2015 06:09 pm (UTC)
I think so too. It is the only one I see on the DVR and have to watch. Me too. I keep wondering what the Captain?? and CIA guy were involved in. I like Jamie enough but I wouldn't say I'm a big fan though I'm loving her on this show. I've never seen Kurt in anything else and can never remember his name.

I haven't watched the recent episode of Quantico yet but if it isn't better I might dump it.

I have to watch this weeks SPN. I'm really looking forward to it though.

I think Kate is afraid Rick will get involved and get himself killed but usually he finds a way out of it and helps her solve everything. They are better together and she is annoying me by keeping him the dark.

I'm confused about something. Didn't they think she might be pregnant at the end of last season? I was sure that was where it was going. And yes to her mother's death. It is over... let it go.
Jo Ann: Adam: Hmm thinking GIFyeuxdebleu on October 15th, 2015 11:26 pm (UTC)
Yes, I wonder what the Captain is up to. She's apparently playing both sides of the coin. I've never see the actor who plays Kurt Weller in anything else either.

You're gonna love episode 2 of SPN. Jared is wonderful and makes Sam totally heartbreaking. Cas gets tortured and it's brutal to watch. Misha was truly outstanding. The episode was beauifully filmed, too.

Gosh, I don't recall that Kate thought she was pregnant at the end of last season, but sometimes my memory is like a sieve. Yep, Kate and Rick are much more appealing when working a case together...just like Sam and Dean.

Jill aka Jo: H: Happy Halloween batsireesanwar on October 22nd, 2015 06:01 pm (UTC)
I think so too. I mean Mayfair (that is the Captains name! Just figured it out. LOL) seems to be on both sides but I liked in the most recent episode that she seemed to be willing to put everything on the line for Jane.

I did love Sam's heartbreaking moments. I loved how he figures things out too. It is brutal to watch Cas get totured but Jamie's abuses made it seem more tame to me. I think Misha does well but I'm not a Cas fan. Honestly, I wish they'd end the Angel thing already.

See, maybe I'm remembering wrong. I thought that was something that happened at the end of last season but maybe it was something else. Oh well. It is true. Some partners are better together than apart.

What about Heroes Reborn? Watched it from ep 2...

Jill aka Josireesanwar on October 15th, 2015 12:28 am (UTC)
I've only seen the first episode but I was a little bored. I hope it picks up because I enjoyed the series.
FANDOM WARRIORfandomwarrior on October 15th, 2015 06:03 pm (UTC)
I'm also enjoying the series, but it would take more than an adult Molly Walker (she's a hottie btw, quite contrast to her younger self), an Erica Kravid, and the Japanese guys Ren and the Katana Girl to convince me even more :D
Jill aka Josireesanwar on October 15th, 2015 06:11 pm (UTC)
Yes, I'm not convinced though the second episode was a little better. I still don't get Katana Girl and how she's able to enter a game? That doesn't seem like an inherit ability as if there was no such thing as video games it would be useless.
Kaylee Winchester: Supernatural - Dean Smileroguem on October 12th, 2015 04:28 pm (UTC)
I enjoyed the season opener to Supernatural too, but am also sick of the arguing all the time. I would like them to get back to Sam and Dean fighting together against the monsters.

I dumped Sleepy Hollow halfway through s2, but I'm hearing that it's getting better again. I'll give it some time.

Agree with you about the Flash, but I was more annoyed by his dad just up and leaving like that than anything else.

Still holding off on starting anything new, I like having a few episodes when I start something new.
Jo Ann: Tom Mison/Ichabod B&Wyeuxdebleu on October 15th, 2015 01:39 am (UTC)
I think the writers have heard the fans and are planning to have much less arguing between Sam and Dean and go back to having them fight evil and monsters. I'm tried of it, too.

I'm still watching Sleepy Hollow. I like Ichabod and Abbie's chemistry and Tom Mison is VERY nice to look at. :>)
Jill aka Jo: SH: I & A in swampsireesanwar on October 15th, 2015 06:15 pm (UTC)
That would be nice. I hate the arguing.

LOL I love Sleepy Hollow though admittedly the second season left something to be desired but I still love the concept and Tom is so great with the subtle lines that are so funny.
Jo Ann: Tom Mison/Ichabod B&Wyeuxdebleu on October 15th, 2015 11:12 pm (UTC)
Well, there was no arguing in episode 2 so I think they're back on track.

Yeah, season 2 wasn't that great--got sick of Katrina--but season 3 is much better so far.
Jill aka Jo: SH: Ichabodsireesanwar on October 22nd, 2015 05:56 pm (UTC)
Yes, I noticed the lack of fighting and thought it was a better episode.

Oh me too. I kept hoping all season Katrina would die but took all season. I think the set up is a little odd this season but I still love it. Icaboad is just awesome.
Kaylee Winchester: Supernatural - Dean Smileroguem on October 18th, 2015 10:44 am (UTC)
I hope that's true. I really miss the times when they were fighting together.

I liked Ichabod and Abbie too, which is why I gave season 2 a chance. I might return to it if I keep hearing good things.
Tom Mison is definitely good looking.

I think this season of Sleepy Hollow has been very good so far. Give it a try.
Kaylee Winchester: Tangled Lightsroguem on October 24th, 2015 10:07 am (UTC)
I might, but I'll leave it for a little while longer anyway. Saving up a few things to bingewatch when I move into my new place.
Jo Annyeuxdebleu on October 25th, 2015 06:50 am (UTC)
Oh, you're moving? When and what is your new place like?
Kaylee Winchester: Supernatural - Dean Smileroguem on October 25th, 2015 10:29 am (UTC)
I feel like that's all I've been posting about lately.
There's a picture in this post: http://roguem.livejournal.com/493028.html

I sold my flat last year, and have been living with my parents until I found something new. It's a big improvement. It's a lot bigger than my previous place and closer to my friends so that's great too.
I'll be moving in a little over 3 weeks.
Jill aka Jo: Leverage: Parker grrrrsireesanwar on October 15th, 2015 06:14 pm (UTC)
Amen. I'm sick of the fighting. I mean brothers fight on occasion but these two... you'd think they hate each other and we all know that isn't true.

Admittedly, Sleepy Hollow didn't have a good second season but it is still a great show.

Oh yes, how dumb did it seem for Barry's father to leave after Barry worked so hard to get him freed. Makes no sense.
Kaylee Winchester: Supernatural - Dean Smileroguem on October 18th, 2015 10:39 am (UTC)
I'm hoping they'll put a cork in the arguing soon and get going with the monster fighting.

Maybe the actor playing the dad wanted to much money? I have no idea, it just felt kind of stupid.
Jill aka Jo: Misc: Firefly Calvin & Hobbssireesanwar on October 22nd, 2015 07:24 pm (UTC)
Exactly.

Maybe. It is possible they just didn't want to pay another actor or they weren't sure what to do with him but they could have hand him around like before... doing his own thing. Barry is an adult after all.

Of course, this also puts a stop to the "what father do I go to for advice"? Plus I love Joe. He's just awesome.
Kaylee Winchester: Tangled Lightsroguem on October 24th, 2015 10:06 am (UTC)
I love Joe too, he's probably my fave on that show.
They could also just have had Barry's dad say that it was to painful to stay in the city after everything that had happened.
Jill aka Jo: Arrow: Minesireesanwar on October 29th, 2015 08:48 pm (UTC)
Mine too.

Right? I mean he could have moved outside of the city and visited Barry as much as Barry visited him in prison.
