Book Description:
A dangerous, volatile rebel, hands stained bloodred.
A woman whose very existence has been erased.
A love story so dark, it may shatter the world itself.
A deadly price that must be paid.
The day of reckoning is here.

Kaleb Krychek
is a man that can make the Earth tremble and people bow to his will. A madman's protege, the youngest Councilor, a dual Cardinal, a nightmare.

He has finally retrieved what he was looking for the last 7 years. He took back what was stolen from him. And this vulnerable woman who they tried to break and bend to their twisted will, a strong soul with a will of obsidian and a heart bigger than the sky, will have to guide him not to the light exactly, but to redemption and be his conscience. He isn't the monster that they all afraid, but sometimes to fight the darkness you have to turn into a shadow yourself.

My Thoughts About the Book:
Finally, Kaleb's story is told and it was a book I couldn't put down. I wanted to read it while I was getting ready in the morning and far too often these last few days, have gone to sleep too late just trying to fit in a moment to read.

Kaleb is a very powerful Psy. His abilities are off the charts. He's more powerful than any Psy in the Net and his goals are mysterious to all he encounters.

Sahara was a prisoner, being tortured to get her cooperation for her unique gifts. And then the mysterious Kaleb Krychek appears in her cell and teleports her to his home in Moscow.

Who is Kaleb? Is he a product of his maker? What is Sahara's mysterious ability? Who is at the helm of Pure Psy? Who is the mysterious Ghost Judd meets? Who is behind Sahara's imprisonment? Will Silence fall?

So many questions and they are all answered! This book really opened up a different world for the Psy-Changeling series which I can't wait to read more about... I have the next two books already.

Singh has hinted at Kaleb for most of the series. In the beginning of the series, we learn Santano (Kaleb's mentor) is a serial killer. The Leopard's do away with him but everyone wonders if Kaleb was part of those crimes. Every time Kaleb's name comes up it is with a group of questions as to where his allegience lies.

In the last few books, Kaleb has been all about find something he'd lost and in the book we realize it is Sahara. But what does he mean when he tells her she is his????

Kaleb is a fantastically fascinating character whose power and depths know no bounds. Learning about him, his past, and what truly lies beneath his obsidian surface was amazing and worth every moment of the read.

Sahara is an interesting character and while I enjoyed learning about her past and her abilities, I feel she still needs a bit more development and hope we'll learn more about her and Kaleb in the future.

Overall, the best book in the series and a reason to read the 11 books that came before it.
