Bonds of Justice
Description: Max Shannon is a good cop, one of the best in New York Enforcement. Born with a natural shield that protects him against Psy mental invasions, he knows he has little chance of advancement within the Psy-dominated power structure. The last case he expects to be assigned is that of a murderer targeting a Psy Councilor’s closest advisors. And the last woman he expects to compel him in the most sensual of ways is a Psy on the verge of a catastrophic mental fracture…
Sophia Russo is a Justice-Psy, cursed with the ability to retrieve memories from men and women so twisted even veteran cops keep their distance. Appointed as Max’s liaison with the Psy, she finds herself fascinated by this human, her frozen heart threatening to thaw with forbidden emotion. But, her mind filled with other people’s nightmares, other people’s evil, she’s standing on the border between sanity and a silken darkness that urges her to take justice into her own hands, to become judge, jury…and executioner…
Review: I'd passed this book by in favor of Hawke in Kiss of Snow but I knew I would have to come back and read it. I didn't want to go too far ahead and miss this book and #9.
I'm so happy I came back because I just adore Max. I didn't think I would but I do. And I'm surprised at how much I like Sophia. She wasn't at all what I expected and their story really turned into one of my favorites.
Play of Passion
Description: In his position as tracker for the SnowDancer pack, it's up to Drew Kincaid to rein in rogue changelings who have lost control of their animal halves- even if it means killing those who have gone too far. But nothing in his life has prepared him for the battle he must now wage to win the heart of a woman who makes his body ignite... and who threatens to enslave his wolf.
Lieutenant Indigo Riviere doesn't easily allow skin privileges, especially of the sensual kind- and the last person she expects to find herself craving is the most wickedly playful male in the den. Everything she knows tells her to pull back before the flames burn them both to ash... but she hasn't counted on Drew's will.
Now, two of SnowDancer's most stubborn wolves find themselves playing a hot, sexy game even as lethal danger stalks the very place they call home.
Review: Okay so I adore Drew but I wasn't impressed with Indigo. I mean I like the idea of a strong female character but being threatened at every turn that this dominiant man is just going to step all over you?
I get she had reason to be afraid but she just seemed to lead him on too long. She was just too annoyingly timid for a dominant changeling.
This isn't a bad story but part of me feels like I could have skipped it though then I wouldn't have gotten to meet Drew who is a uniquely interesting character.
Declaration of Courtship
Description: A dominant changeling wolf, SnowDancer lieutenant Cooper is not known for his patience. But when it comes to courting the shy, sexy woman he wants in his life and in his bed, he’ll have to use every ounce of control in his body to keep both man and wolf in check…at least until he convinces Grace he only bites a little.
One of the most submissive wolves in the SnowDancer pack, Grace knows nothing can come of her sensual fascination with big, bad, beautiful Cooper. He might possess her over and over in erotic dreams that leave her aching for the rough heat of his touch, but she knows that in reality, he is far too dangerous for her to handle. Then Cooper decides to change all the rules…
Review: Cooper and Grace are adorable. I really enjoy this series and always look forward to the little short stories that come from the series whether they are about characters we hear about in passing or just stolen moments in the lives of the character's we've already read about.
Grace is more of a submissive wolf and Cooper and leading dominant. How can they come together without Cooper walking all over Grace? Well, Cooper is very protective but like so many of the dominant Changelings he puts orders of the pack outside of their relationship. They are equals and Grace is more than willing to boss her dominant wolf around.
Kiss of Snow
Description: Since the moment of her defection from the PsyNet and into the SnowDancer wolf pack, Sienna Lauren has had one weakness. Hawke. Alpha and dangerous, he compels her to madness.
Hawke is used to walking alone, having lost the woman who would’ve been his mate long ago. But Sienna fascinates the primal heart of him, even as he tells himself she is far too young to handle the wild fury of the wolf.
Then Sienna changes the rules and suddenly, there is no more distance, only the most intimate of battles between two people who were never meant to meet. Yet as they strip away each other’s secrets in a storm of raw emotion, they must also ready themselves for a far more vicious fight…
A deadly enemy is out to destroy SnowDancer, striking at everything they hold dear, but it is Sienna’s darkest secret that may yet savage the pack that is her home…and the alpha who is its heartbeat…
Review (From my first read): Have I read books 8 or 9? No. Why would I read these books out of order? Because I've been dying to read Hawke and Sienna's story and it finally hit the shelves and I couldn't resist reading it. This would be a eBook I'd leave on my eReader. So good!
Hawke has been an intriguing character since the very beginning. As leader of the SnowDancer pack we've seen a lot of him dealing with Lucas of the DarkRiver pack. It is nice to see the bond between the packs growing. From the beginning Hawke has flirted with Lucas's mate so it was a nice twist of fate to see the DarkRiver leader get to tease Hawke for a change. Singh really portrayed Hawke as being strong, playful and beautiful. His desire to take care of his family/pack and his tenderness with the children and the members of his pack, is a wonderful thing to see while not making him less formidable as a pack leader.
Sienna is a very impressive Psy with the ability to unleash a burning cold fire on her enemies. Her problem is that it threaten to burn her alive because the power within her grows constantly.
It has been great to see Sienna grow up over the books and to turn into the woman that Hawke eventually mated with. We all knew it would happen and while there is an age difference I think Sienna and Hawke make a wonderful pair and I'm glad Singh waited until Sienna was in her 20s.
Love this book and would recommend it!
Texture of Intimacy
Description: SnowDancer healer Lara knows primal ecstasy. She wakes to it every morning, skin-to-skin with the hard male body of the quiet, powerful telepath who is her mate. Lean muscle and rough heat, Walker is the only man she has ever wanted to call her own. But being mated to a man formed in the ice-cold cage of the PsyNet has its challenges.
Born into a race where emotion is a crime, Walker’s will is a creation of cold steel. Scarred by the life he has lived, the terrible choices he was forced to make, he never expected to find happiness. Now, his heart belongs to Lara and he will fight to the death to protect the bond between them…even knowing he might have been too long in the ice of the PsyNet to give her what she needs.
Before Lara and Walker can claim the wild, beautiful promise of their future, they must first face the painful shadows of the past...
Review: Finally Lara and Walker have a story even if it is short. We all knew it would happen. Over the course of the last several books we've seen this relationship growing and it seemed unlikely that Walker or Lara would walk away.
What I loved about this story is that it isn't about them coming together as mates but what happens once they are mates and are coming together as a family.
The Series: List at Goodreads.
