Calling on the PhotoShop Gurus...
Okay I'm using PhotoShop CS2 which I think is version 9....

Okay I know how to change the something specific to a color on a black and white photo... but how do I turn a color photo into a black and white so I can go back and change something specific to color???

I know I'm nutty.

ok...you go to images -> adjustments -> desaturate and voila the pic is black and white :-)

You can also do Image - Mode - check Grayscale.

What I do is make a new layer then flood fill it with black, then change the new layer to color instead of normal, and by doing that you can make it totally black and white, or just dull the colors a bit by playing with the opacity :D
