A spell was cast on Justine when she was born, with the result that she will never find her soul mate. But she is nothing if not determined and eventually Justine finds a way to break the enchantment—never dreaming of the dangerous complications that will follow…

My Thoughts on the Book:
What happened?

I was really enjoying this series and then it seemed to go off the rails.

Justine is a witch, there is a coven and a soulless man? This sounds like more of a supernatural romance than what I was reading in prior books. A dash of fantasy is okay but this just took off in a whole other direction.

While I liked Justine and Jason everything about them seemed off. I had trouble buying into their instant attraction and the whole story really.

In previous books, Kleypas has let the characters come together slowly and natural with a lot of opening up to one another and building trust in people who have trouble trusting.

In this book, it just seemed like she dumped them together and told us they were in love.

This story had good moment but if felt far removed from the series and didn't seem to be part of an entirely different series all together.

Should have stopped with 3.

Well that is definitely weird. I think I'll just read the first 3 and skip the last one. Definitely not really my taste, particularly when it's never been like that in the rest of the series. The whole supernatural/witches thing has to be done really well in order for me to like it.

Yes and this just wasn't.
