Gerard Butler on Jimmy Kimmel, Train Your Dragon 2 & Seth Meyers
Just love Gerard so much. He's totally the man. Just adore him and thought I'd share his funny appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show.... and then I went crazy and added a bunch of videos to this playlist so you can just watch as much Gerard as you can handle. LOL

Oh great! Thank you. I watched the first two, but I'll watch the rest tomorrow night. We had a terrible thunderstorm and I had to log off for several hours tonight, so I'm running late.
Jill aka Josireesanwar on July 5th, 2014 01:07 am (UTC)
Where are you? An author where I work had terrible thunder and lightning storms too and it killed his computer so good move on your part.
Jo Ann: Spring: Storm lightningyeuxdebleu on July 5th, 2014 01:46 am (UTC)
I'm in northern NH, in the mountains and close to the Canadian border. We've had two days of thunderstorms with only an hour or two in between. Our TV and Internet are both satellite so when there is a severe storm, we don't use either one. If either dish got hit while the computers or TVs were on, they'd get fried.

Where in California do you live? I hope not in an area that is so drought stricken and plagued with wild fires.
Jill aka Jo: SPN: Dean at elevatorsireesanwar on July 5th, 2014 07:57 am (UTC)
Cool. I think your my first NH friend. :-D

Yeah, I wouldn't watch the TV either. We rarely get strike lightning here. Mostly just flashes in the sky though there are occasional strike lighting storms that start fires in the summer here.

I'm more in Northern California... which actually we here would call central as it is east of Sacramento in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

And we are being hit by the drought and a few fires. Right now the only fire that concerns me is the one in San Diego because my cousin is close to that fire.

Most of the other fires are way North of us. But who knows after today. Fireworks mean fires when we have so little rain and everything is so very dry here.

The heat doesn't help. It has been 97-102F almost everyday and when we get into those high temperatures a fire is inevitable.

Yay for me being your first friend in NH. Have you ever been anywhere on the East Coast? I've been to California several times, but never farther north than San Francisco.

It's pleasantly cool here, as it is most of the time, but the past two weeks it was in the high 80s and 90s with ungodly humidity. It's very rarely that we have temps that high. And nights are always cool regardless of what the temp is during the day. It's really ideal except for our ghastly winters.
Jill aka Jo: OUAT: Ship Regina & Robinsireesanwar on July 7th, 2014 05:33 am (UTC)
I haven't. I've only been as far as Texas. I really want to go to the East Coast but got to have time and money.

I wish it was 80s-90s but not the humidity. It has been 100 here for over a week and it is just awful.

Thankfully we don't have really cold winters. Don't get much in the way of snow where we are but 20 minutes up the Sierra Nevada mountains and there is snow.

Thankfully we don't have really cold winters

Here's what winter looked like at our place two years ago. I don't have any pics of last winter because my husband was in the hospital for a lot of the winter. I had to hire someone to plow our driveways.

And believe me...it's as cold as it looks.

Yeah. At usually we get a day of snow but not this last year.

That does look cold. I like living somewhere we don't get snow. Not a fan.

I like living where there's a change of seasons; keeps life interesting. But when we retired here 24 years ago (next month) we really didn't realize how long and hard the winters were. We wish now that we'd moved to North Carolina. It has wonderful weather, plus the change of seasons.
Jill aka Jo: RA: North & South Thorton and Margsireesanwar on July 15th, 2014 09:30 pm (UTC)
I like the change of season too. It seems like we have more warm weather here than anything else but we do tend to have fall and spring which are my favs.
Jo Ann: Summer: Life better in summeryeuxdebleu on July 21st, 2014 02:36 am (UTC)
I like fall and spring the best, too. The only drawback for fall for me is that it means winter comes next...and winters here in NH are very harsh.
Jill aka Jo: Hug: Stock drawing on fingerssireesanwar on July 23rd, 2014 10:48 pm (UTC)
Yeah. I can imagine. I just wish Spring and Fall were the standard here but it is more like this:

Winter = 3 months
Spring = 1 month (maybe two)
Summer = 6 months (sometimes 5 if Spring is longer)
Autumn = 2 months

I couldn't imagine living where you do. I don't think I could take the harsh winters.

OK, I just watched all of these...again. I had seen them all on TV. I love the late night talk shows and have my DVR set to automatically record new episodes of Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon -- who is absolutely killing Kimmel and Letterman (who I can't stand) in the ratings. I adore Jimmy Fallon. I watch Kimmel if he's having a guest I want to see.

I came across this cute clip with Gerry and Hilary Swank while at YouTube. He talks about the scene in P. S. I Love You where he has just finished singing, hands off his guitar, grabs Hilary and kisses her. I have looked and looked for a clip of him singing Mustang Sally, but there doesn't seem to be one. I loved that, but I guess I'll just have to watch the DVD again.

Gerry talks here about his injuries while making Olympus Has Fallen.

Gerry's Movie Bucket List

OK, enough! I could keep surfing YouTube all night, but I'll stop. :>)

oops! One more...the scene Gerry and Hilary talk about in the Unscripted video. Soooo cute.

I love Jimmy Fallon and Craig Ferguson. Those are the two I like to watch. I also despise Letterman. He's never funny (with the exception of Jennifer Lawrence being on his show and then it is she that is funny.)

Watched all the videos. I love Gerry and I love listening to him. I would love to see him in somethings that are quintessentially Scottish. I hope he's able to do those movies he mentioned.

Also noticed you like Dancing with the Stars. Me too! Watch every season and I was so happy Maks and Meryl won. It was crazy to watch Meryl practically tame Maks.
Jo Ann: M & M Fusion closeupyeuxdebleu on July 6th, 2014 05:42 am (UTC)
Oh yes, I forgot about Craig. I like him, too. As for Jennifer Lawrence, she's a hoot no matter whose show she's on.

I'd like to see Gerry in something where he plays a Scot, too. I wonder if he can really pour on the brogue, the way Sam Heughan can. I love that.

I have watched DWTS off and on over the years depending on who's on it. But when I heard that Meryl and Charlie would be on and that Maks was coming back, it was a no-brainer for me. I knew I had to watch it this season. I know ice skaters - and ice dancers especially - have ballet training, but Meryl was remarkable right out of the gate. She was a natural. Maks became a totally different man with her and I loved how he couldn't keep his hands off her. LOL She's the smallest partner he's ever had and he sure took advantage of that. I have downloaded all their performances, interviews, and a wonderful compilation of all their rehearsals. I've been watching them nearly every night since they aired. Awesome stuff and all in HD. She was very good with Val, too. I loved it when Carrie Ann said they should get married. She is by no means the only person who thinks so. Their chemistry darn near short circuited my TV. And I think Maks is drop-dead GORGEOUS!

I thought it was so nice that Meryl's mother was there every week with either Meryl's brother or father. They must be unbelievably proud of her.

I loved all their routines, but these are really, really special, IMO.

And probably the most gorgeous routine ever done on DWTS. Maks is a fantastic choreographer.

Jill aka Josireesanwar on July 6th, 2014 06:32 am (UTC)
Honestly, I didn't even know who Meryl and Charlie were when DWTS started. But it wasn't long before I wanted Meryl and Maks to win. And yes that freestyle was the most beautiful thing ever! I loved that you saw all these people crying afterwards. It was fantastic.

They have amazing dance chemistry and part of me wants Meryl to start ballroom dancing with Maks rather than ice skating with Charlie. LOL
Jo Ann: M & M Viennese. Waltzyeuxdebleu on July 7th, 2014 02:15 am (UTC)
Gosh, you didn't know who Meryl and Charlie were? I guess you didn't watch the Olympics. They're the first American ice dancers ever to win the gold. This was their free dance at the Olympics. Derek Hough helped with the choreography. I've been watching ice skating on TV since 1976 and this is one of the most amazing routines I've ever seen...AND the highest scores I've ever seen. Meryl already knew the importance of smiling and looking into a partner's eyes long before she met Maks and she carried it over to the dance floor flawlessly.

Meryl reminds me so much of a ballerina. She isn't beautiful in the traditional sense, but she has a fierce, classic beauty like most ballerinas have. But she and Maks are as stunning on the dance floor as she and Charlie are on the ice.

Jill aka Josireesanwar on July 8th, 2014 09:04 pm (UTC)
I've never been a fan of the Olympics Summer or Winter. I just have never been into it. Ice skating is probably the only thing I would remotely care about but no I didn't watch.

She does remind me of a ballerina too. She really has the musicality but I prefer ballroom dancing.
Jo Ann: Olympics: Ice Dancersyeuxdebleu on July 12th, 2014 12:39 am (UTC)
I don't watch sports on TV except for tennis. I love that. But I've always been glued to the summer and winter Olympics. I don't watch all the events, but there are many I do enjoy.
