Wow, NCIS New Orleans is already coming? That's fast

I think I'll give Stalker a try, maybe.

I'm THIS close to kicking Hit the Floor off my watch list. Have you tried it? I'm not sure even Dean Cain can hold me. I do love the supporting characters but the main characters are just so bad. And not even in a good way. :(
Jill aka Josireesanwar on July 2nd, 2014 12:21 am (UTC)
I haven't tried Hit the Floor. I wanted to but I couldn't find it. I also wasn't sure it really sounded that good. And from what you said. Gosh that stinks. I want to see him in something good.
Phoenixburned_phoenix on July 2nd, 2014 07:36 am (UTC)
I was expecting more actual cheerleading, to be honest. Hit the Floor as it is kinda reminds me of Glee, with the unnecessary singing. They have a dance number in every show, which is really just pain, unimaginative dancing, no jumping or throwing people in the air or anything.

I expected it to be more like Hellcats.

The drama and 'mystery/crime' vibe they are trying to combine just don't seem to work for me.

I had so high hopes and was so happy to find DC back on my tv *sighs*

I also finished Crisis last night. And to be honest, I think it was done anyway. Just like Hostages, everything they would have tried to come up with for another season would have been too forced. Some shows are just designed to be one season. But I still want Max Martina back on my tv asap, please!

And I can't even make myself finish Believe, knowing it's over anyway and there's not really a finishline to look forward to as there wasn't really any direction on the show to begin with. :(
Jill aka Josireesanwar on July 3rd, 2014 01:34 am (UTC)
Yeah if it was anything like "Bring It On" I might actually watch it but it doesn't really sound like it. I have never seen Hellcats.

I liked the end of Crisis and Believe. Believe kind of felt like it ended which was nice.
Phoenixburned_phoenix on July 3rd, 2014 08:32 am (UTC)
Hellcats was a bit like Bring It On but also with a light mystery/detective plot line. It was a lot better balanced than Hit The Floor

I guess that's reason to watch Believe to the end then :)

I'm wondering if they knew Crisis was done before they shot the final episodes. That would explain why they wrapped it up so neatly. There wasn't much of a cliff hanger left that made you want to see more of it :D
Jill aka Josireesanwar on July 3rd, 2014 07:32 pm (UTC)
That is true. There was a little something at the end of Crisis but I didn't care that much because it was over and I didn't want to think about it anymore. It's sad though. I would have continued to watch it.
Phoenixburned_phoenix on July 7th, 2014 08:01 am (UTC)
It felt like they knew it was ending so they wrapped it up, with just a little back door cliff hanger in case they had one more chance. Like the whole second kidnapping would have been season 2 otherwise.
I would have kept watching too
Jill aka Josireesanwar on July 8th, 2014 10:25 pm (UTC)
Well now we don't have to watch and I guess that is okay. I'm going to be really busy here in a month with Outlander... YAY!
Phoenixburned_phoenix on July 9th, 2014 07:31 am (UTC)
I think I put it on myepisodes so it will remind me when it starts, but I'm sure you'll do too :D
Jill aka Jo: Outlander: Jamie and Claire Lallybroch tsireesanwar on July 9th, 2014 10:43 pm (UTC)
I won't even come close to forgetting. LOL

Yeah, I was about to post how it is only a month away. And the first episode will be online for free.... probably Youtube.

Ohh, awesome!

Wow, once upon a time we used to watch more on CBS but now Person of Interest is the only one on this list that we watch.

I can't believe Survivor has been on 28 years already. How can it possibly still have any audience?? Pretty much anything beyond 5 seasons is too much for any show; it just isn't fresh and interesting anymore and they're just rehashing the same old stuff. Maybe I'm just weird but I'd far rather be seeing new and interesting shows every couple of years than the same old thing over and over.
Jill aka Josireesanwar on July 4th, 2014 12:48 am (UTC)
I didn't start Persons of Interest. Really should have.

I can't believe Survivor has been on that long either. I can't possibly see it being good. I never thought it was good to begin with. I think in the very beginning, I checked it out and it was so stupid. How can anyone watch something so mind numbing.
tracyj23tracyj23 on July 6th, 2014 02:25 pm (UTC)
Yes, I'd definitely recommend going back and trying out Person of Interest. I am really enjoying it. It's a very well done show.
Jill aka Josireesanwar on July 7th, 2014 12:07 am (UTC)
Gosh. I wish I'd started it when it started. I wanted to but I think it is across from something else I liked.
tracyj23: Muppets - Animaltracyj23 on July 7th, 2014 01:47 pm (UTC)
Doesn't that happen too often? Not so much to us anymore as we only watch about 8 shows altogether, but it used to.
Jill aka Jo: Stock: Hot Air Balloonssireesanwar on July 7th, 2014 11:55 pm (UTC)
Not typically but some days are more cumbersome than others since I share a system with my sister. I don't remember what it was originally across from but I do remember not being able to watch it which wouldn't be an issue now because I would just download it but to download a couple season just seems like a lot right now.

I'll have to see if I can get it via Netflix or something.
tracyj23: Minga-Na/Clark - Agentstracyj23 on July 8th, 2014 12:58 am (UTC)
That can be a problem. Our system can record two things at the same time but you can't watch a third thing that isn't one of them while both are recording. It isn't usually a problem for us, but it has been once or twice when there's a sporting event on (like hockey) and two of our other shows -- I think Agents of SHIELD and Revolution - were airing at the same time.

I can recall in the "old" days we had 3 shows that used to air at the same time on Sundays at 8pm (this was early 90's), and we ended up getting another second hand VCR to go with the one we bought so we could record two and watch one. Of course now we mostly record everything 'cause we never watch when things are actually on. Kids have become the priority now. *lol*
Jill aka Jo: Misc: Calvin & Hobbs Mwahahasireesanwar on July 8th, 2014 10:49 pm (UTC)
I so rarely watch when things are on anymore which is nice because you can just not worry about it.

But that is exactly what we have. You can record 2 things but not watch something else. And now they have a DVR that records 6 things at once... who needs that?! Still it would be nice to have the possibility I suppose.

I remember setting up the VCR and then knowing the power went out and there was nothing to be done.
tracyj23tracyj23 on July 9th, 2014 03:17 pm (UTC)
Ah the olden days when we were slaves to power outages. *lol*

*LOL* Yep.
