Book Description:
Long live the King…

After turning his back on the throne for centuries, Wrath, son of Wrath, finally assumed his father’s mantle--with the help of his beloved mate. But the crown sets heavily on his head. As the war with the Lessening Society rages on, and the threat from the Band of Bastards truly hits home, he is forced to make choices that put everything--and everyone--at risk.

Beth Randall thought she knew what she was getting into when she mated the last pure blooded vampire on the planet: An easy ride was not it. But when she decides she wants a child, she’s unprepared for Wrath’s response--or the distance it creates between them.

The question is, will true love win out... or tortured legacy take over?

My Thoughts on the Book
I'm sorry to those who didn't like this book but you must have been reading something else and got confused because this was a wonderful addition to the series.

In the past, I looked less and less forward to anything having to do with a Lesser and while I know we need this foes in the series, I think the Brother's have enough on there plate with the Band of Brother and the Glymera.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind getting more field action and more of an enemy but I'm glad for the developments with the BOB in Xcor's story and I'm hoping that the next book will be Xcor and Layla.

Speaking of which, with the end of this book that means Layla should be close to giving birth. I want that already!

Now the writing. Just like Ward has always been. Talented. The story flowed easily and while we were jumping from storyline to storyline the only thing I ever felt was a rush to read more because Ward is THAT GOOD and getting you sucked into this series.

My absolute favorite storylines where Wrath & Beth, Xcor & Layla, Trez & Selena, and Assail & Sola. Okay so the entire book. I can't say I loved some of the flashbacks but I also didn't dislike them. It was kind of nice to learn more about the past.

Wrath & Beth: Absolutely loved the drama and the revelations and when Beth comes up from the Doctor's with new it was probably one of the best moments of the series. Seriously. I loved it and I loved Wrath for it.

Xcor & Layla: Um Xcor going to the mall was priceless and his reasoning was wonderful. Despite everything this guy has done to create problems for Wrath, I love him. I want him to have a HEA with Layla.

Trez & Selena: Interesting and messed up. What can I say Ward is going to torture us before we get a great story out of it but I'm okay with that.

Assail & Sola: I absolutely adore their story. I know they are almost not the focus of any of the rest of the series. It was like they both showed up out of no where but I love them and I'm jonesing for more. I also love Sola's Grandmother and her relationship with Assail's cousins. Made me laugh when they were trying to cook the food Vovo left for them.

iAm: Love that he and Boo have this connection. Thought it was hilarious. I think he's going to be and interesting character when things start getting started for him. I do wonder if Abe's daughter will be in the mix.

s'Ex: Interesting and intriguing. This one has great potential. And all the hinting that he's a scary SOB did nothing to hide the fact that he did some honorable stuff to help the Shadows out.

Overall this series is great and this book was just another great addition. Part of me wonders if the reason some people just aren't a fan is if it is just because this book really isn't like the others. It is more of a continuation of everyone's story rather than mostly focusing on one couple and the development of their story.

I say Brilliant!
