Grilled Mahi Mahi

Delicious recipe I found over at Tastebook. I couldn't resist the idea of it. Plus it has been awhile since I shared recipes with you all. And, yes, I realize it is not Tuesday but I forgot to post this yesterday so here we go.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup vegetable broth or dry red wine
  • 3 tablespoons sliced green onions
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 (6-ounce) fresh or thawed mahi mahi fillets, about 1/2" thick

Directions
  • In a small saucepan combine broth, green onions, lime juice, sugar, salt and garlic. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Cool.
  • Preheat the grill to medium. Lightly coat a grill basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Rinse fish; pat dry with paper towels. Brush fillets with broth mixture. Place fish in the grill basket. Tuck under any thin edges of fish. Grill 4 to 6 minutes or until fish flakes with a fork (145°F), brushing with wine mixture frequently.
Also a little Mango Salsa on top of your Mahi-Mahi is beyond delicious.

It is! I love Mahi Mahi, and I'm not a big fish fan.

I'm not a seafood fan, but I'd try that, it looks very yummy on the pic :D

See I would have said that too. But I've discovered some seafoods I will eat. I love shrimp as long as they aren't just huge prawns sitting on my plate. Bread them or small in stir fry or pasta; I love.

As for fish, I love Mahi Mahi and some cod but not too many others. Different fish taste different and it can be all in the way you cook it. I used to think I didn't like any fish but just trying some stuff here and there and woken me up to the fact that I like a little of it.

I'm trying Tilapia. I'm not sure I've ever had it but I'm told it is not a fishy flavored fish.

well, i do eat some fish. like fish sticks *lol* nah, I eat tuna too *gg*

ok, seriously, I DO eat some fish but don't ask me for names.
I tried shrimps, but they tast too 'deep sea' for me I don't know.

there was a fish meal I had when I was younger, that scared the crap out of me :D it was breaded (?) and it came off and the fish had like I don't know, weird spots that didn't belong there for my taste but were perfectly normal, so that were my fish eating days over with :D

also, as a kid they told me to eat the fry rings, they were like french fries only in rings. right, they were squid tantacles fried in batter. yuck that was bad when you're a child expecting potatoe :D

Hey, did you read my fish taco recipe. I use fish sticks because it is easy and tasty. It is highly possible I have yet to share them so here I go...

They are delicious.

Yeah you have to be careful and I like seeing what I'll get before I get it. I can't get a whole fish on a plate. EWWWW.

Yes! That is cruel. I hate when parents or other trick you into eating something disgusting.
