i am typing this from my aunt's Kindle. I messed with a Nook over vacation and I wanted to see which I liked better.

did you come to a decision?

Not really. They both have there downfalls. Kindle is completely Black and White and getting to the net isn't easy but it is there.

Nook is really simple to use but doesn't have the E-Ink and doesn't offer 3G on the Nook Color. GRRRRR

hm, that doesn't make it easier, I guess :D

No it doesn't. There is also rumors that Kindle will come out with a new version so I need to see what that will be.

So what do you think? I have a Sony reader, which reads well but doesn't allow for internet connectivity. I don't really use it much anymore now that I've got the iPad since it has iBooks and kobo.

I need to check out your holiday post yet. I've gotten so behind with keeping up on LJ - I've been skipping the longer entries because I just don't have time to read them! But I will - I promise. ♥

I was thinking about working towards whichever one and wanted. I was thinking that maybe a Nook but without that 3G it doesn't seem worth it. I was hoping to get money for my birthday in a few months and get one then. I do wonder if Nook will come out with a 3G one in Color. The black and white version did have that so I'm baffled they took it away with the color.

I did a quick holiday post. I tried to keep the day recaps short so it shouldn't be too bad.

So, which do you prefer?

If the Nook Color came out with a 3G option I'd get that one. I would hate that it doesn't have the E-Ink but to have the E-Ink you end up with Black and White everything. Like going back to before color TV. Weird.

So I'm leaning towards the Nook Color because of the ease of use. You literally hit a button for either the Books, Net, Movie Showtimes, etc. You can easily do directions if you have it on you too but you have to have an open Wi-Fi connection which is a problem where I live.

Sounds like the both have pros and cons. But does sound as if the Nook has a little more advantage, especially with the colour.

They do. I just wish that Nook had 3G.

Yeah that would be very useful.
