Dies just a little...
Chris Hemsworth as Thor as depicted in the upc...

THOR! I went and saw THOR.

I'm never attracted to bearded men let alone blonde men... I don't know why but they've just never been that wonderful for me. There are some bearded exceptions (Jason Momoa and Steve Bacic) but it is rare. Then in strolls Chris Hemsworth in that Thor get up and my hormones danced around like there was no tomorrow. Damn.

It is just wrong how yummy that boy is.

Moving on though... I wasn't sure I'd love this movie but I was intrigued that Natalie Portman was in the movie as is Anthony Hopkins. These actors seem more big time so it was baffling to think of them in a superhero movie. Had to see it.

I was very surprised. First, I knew more about Norse mythology than I thought I did. And Second, the movie was surprisingly good and simple. They didn't over-complicate everything to get the story across.
You almost assume that Thor will be completely cheesy and it was, mildly. It is hard not to be when the enemy in your life are 10 (maybe a lot more) feet tall ice men. Of course, the CGI creation of these Frost Giants is fascinating to see. The effects in the movie where smoothly done to make thing look more real despite their unreality.

I think Chris Hemsworth did a great job, could be biased though. Chris and Natalie had a wonderful chemistry that made me want to giggle during its finer moments.

Kenneth Branaugh did a fantastic job directing. For me, there is just the right amount of action and story to keep you interested and without bringing so much information your yawning.

Stellan Skarsgard did a great job as Erik Selvig. I'm not a huge fan of Stellan but I enjoyed him in the movie.

Also a big FYI if you go to see this film. You much stay until the credits role because the movie comes back to connect it to S.H.I.E.L.D. for the upcoming Avengers movie.... just like Iron Man 2.

I got to see the trailer for Captain America which I'm totally seeing. It looks wonderful. Reminds me a little of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade only as a superhero. Here is the trailer:

Some other movies I intend to see:
X-Men First Class - http://youtu.be/PZNhIFOHm9Y
Conan the Barbarian

I want to see that movie so badly! I've always loved Norse mythology, (me being from Norway after all) *lol* and the trailer looked awesome. I'm glad you thought it was good. Now I have to find someone to go see it with.

Captain America I'm curious about because Richard Armitage is in it.

I think Jason Momoa is going to do a good job as Conan, being a barbarian suits him. ;)

*lol* Me too though I'm in the States. I went by myself which was okay because then I wasn't embarassed around friends by my oohing and awing... *lol*

When Chris is shirtless *diez*

I didn't see Richard in the trailer but then I wasn't looking hard. COol.

*LOL* Oh yes, being a barbarian does suit our Jason. He's so deliciously good at it.

I think I'll definitely have to see Thor. You're the 3rd person on my flist to rave about it :)

Definitely want to see X Men and Conan too.

First, the eye candy alone is worth it but the story is pretty decent. Definitely one of my favorite superhero movies and there haven't been that many... mostly the X-Men movies and I did love the Iron Man's but not too many of the others have been worth it. This one is.

Oh yes. Conan is played by Drogo!!! I'm so excited.

The son of a lady at Jazzercise plays the young Conan, which I thought was kind of cool. Her hubby is in it too in a crowd scene. I don't know them well, but thought it was interesting.

Haven't seen Thor, not sure we'll go to the theater to see it, but will probably see Captain America. Although I too am intrigued by the fact that Natalie is in it.

That is sooo cool. Too bad her son doesn't play the older Conan and you could get us in to meet him. *giggles*

Natalie did a great job. It just seem so odd and big name actress was in the movie.

I'm not much into superhero movies, hadn't really thought about seeing Thor but maybe I'll watch it now :)

Damn!!! Jason is fine! I can't wait to see that! I watched the first episode of Game of Thones and wanted to love it, if only for him but it didn't keep my interest.

Also LOVE your header! I just started season 2 and haven't had a chance to watch any more. I need to get back to that! :)

I have to laugh because when I was 14 or so my best friend's little brother would call me Darrien the Barbarian. It wasn't amusing then of course but now it just makes me smile.

Well, it is my cup of tea. I love superhero stuff. Always have.

He really is super yummy and I can't wait to see Conan either.

I feel like Thrones gets better as it goes because the first episode was a little tough but it has improved and Jason.... there is a butt shot!

I love Fringe. I'm still totally obsessed with it. It was slow in the beginning but it got so good and I'm totally loving it. Do watch.

*lol* Well as being a way to tease someone I guess it isn't nice but as Jason playing one.... hot damn!
