Bad Toy for Dogs! READ!
I hate when animals get harmed. I think this is why they say the best balls for dogs are tennis balls. They can't swallow and there isn't this danger.

My dog rips tennis balls to shreds. She eats all the fuzz off and then tears them apart! I don't think there are any good toys for her - she eats them all.

Okay so tennis balls are bad for your dog but my Uncle's dog they are perfect. He doesn't chew on them just plays with them. Nothing like that for a dog that chews.

My dig is just looney. She rips all toys apart - even the kids' stuff. :)

Must be a Beagle thing.

I was telling serenitysangel that Zorro bring you the ball and then runs around and jumps all excited that you might send it out. He's so funny.

Oy, the typos! Sorry about them. I was answering on my iPod touch and it has that 'self correct' thing where if you hit the wrong letter it assumes which word you're typing in and writes it accordingly. So you got dig instead of dog and lively instead of lovely (on another comment). :)

Dogs are funny. Mine likes the idea of fetch but he'll only return things once or twice then she takes them away and chews them to pieces. *shakes head* It's really hard to play with her. Beagles!!

Your typos what about mine... I didn't even post my message clearly. I was so preoccupied with work and just trying to type fast that I put "send it out" rather than "throw it". rotflol

It's okay I don't mind some typos because I think I know what you meant.

I've never been around a beagle but it is funny the different traits that are so ingrained into a breed.

This made me cry! Seriously. Broke my heart to see what that dog went through. :(
Jill aka Josireesanwar on September 5th, 2008 07:48 pm (UTC)
Me too. But it is good to know if you have a dog.
Angelserenitysangel on September 5th, 2008 06:31 pm (UTC)
Oh god, that is awful! The poor baby!

I don't give William tennis balls, he just rips them up and I wouldn't want him to swallow and choke on any of the pieces. I get him this hard sort of foamy type balls, that are very durable and solid so that he can't rip them up and have no hollow centre in them.
Jill aka Josireesanwar on September 5th, 2008 07:53 pm (UTC)
You and tracy both but I think you have the same type of dog. So not good for you dog but it works for my Uncle's Zorro.
Angelserenitysangel on September 5th, 2008 08:08 pm (UTC)
Yes, we both have beagles.

My Mum has a German Shepard and she's fine with tennis balls too.
Jill aka Jo: Cute: Dogsireesanwar on September 5th, 2008 09:37 pm (UTC)
That must be it. Beagles. I thought that was what your pup is. Apparently they can't have toys or they rip them up.

See Zorro (Uncle's Dog) runs off to get the tennis ball and drops it in front of you than starts running around all excited because someone MIGHT throw it.

It's not that William can't have toys, just have to make sure they are sturdy and strong ones...especially in the ball department or he just destroys them easily. Sharp strong teeth and jaw. He's got other toys that he just plays with but never rips up.

Aww, bless. Sounds like how Mischa is with her ball too.
Jill aka Josireesanwar on September 5th, 2008 10:49 pm (UTC)
Sturdy toys that is what I meant. Oh well. You're his mommy so you would know. lol

Oh my, that's horrible. Good thing that my Sam is afraid of balls.... lol

Yes good thing.

I wanted to let you know I wrote to Four Paws Products when I knew about that, and got this mail as answer:

Thank you very much for your message.

Like you, Four Paws is deeply concerned about reports of injuries suffered by some dogs as a result of a manufacturing defect in some of our Pimple Ball with Bell toys.
We want you to know that we have stopped shipping these toys to our distributors and we have asked them to have retailers remove the toys from their shelves immediately and return them at our expense.
We have also stopped all shipments of the toys from the manufacturer, and we are sending Executive Vice President Barry Askin to personally inspect the manufacturer’s facility in order to make sure that the defect has been corrected.
We are also changing the packaging of the Pimple Balls to make it easier to inspect them for potential defects, and we are individually inspecting every one of the toys in our inventory in order to identify any that may be defective.
Thank you again for your message and your concern. Please be assured that the safety and well being of pets is our top priority and we are doing everything we can to make sure that this problem is solved as quickly as possible.
Sincerely Yours

Four Paws Products
Allen Simon
President/CEO

So, looks like those things are out of the market now =D

OMG that is so good to know! Thanks for letting me know.

No problem. I know how I feel when I read (and watched) that poor dog suffer, and, of course, taking the toy out of stores don't fix what happened, but, at least, you could be sure it will not happen again.
And shees! I love your icon =D

Thanks. One of too many I've made. Feel free to snag it or any others you can find in this journal and my Graphics Journal.

Yeah I just don't want animals to suffer... ever!
