Hamburger/Shepherd's Pie  

Hamburger/Shepherd Pie

(probably something you already have a recipe for)


 

Ingredients:

1 lb. Ground Beef

2 cans (14.5 oz.) Cut Green Beans - drained

1 can (14.5 oz.) Cut or Diced Tomatoes - drained

1 can (15 oz.) Tomato Sauce

1 can (6 oz.) Tomato Sauce (in total you need approximately 21 ozs.)

1 pouch Lipton Onion Soup/Dip Mix

Cheddar Cheese

Instant Mashed Potatoes (8-10 servings)

 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°

Use a 13x9 pirex dish (or oven safe dish)

Total Cook Time: 35 minutes

 

  1. Cook Ground Beef
  2. Mix finished ground beef, green beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and Lipton Onion Soup mix
  3. Smooth ground beef mix in dish.
  4. Grate cheddar cheese to cover the top of the ground beef mix
  5. Cook Instant Potatoes
  6. Smooth the Potatoes on the top of Cheese/Ground Beef Mix
  7. Cook for 30 minutes
  8. Sprinkle Cheese on top of the potatoes
  9. Cook remaining 5 minutes

 

Note:

To make less sticky cheese mix when often forgo the top layer of cheese or mix it into the instant potatoes before putting them on top of the ground beef mix. Betty Crocker’s Flavored Mashed Potatoes are delicious on top especially the Cheddar Garlic.

 

This used to be the only way my mother could get us to eat green beans and to this day I love this dish!

I think I need to let you know, my son is kind of a fan of you =D He keeps asking me if you hasn't post another recipe yet. I guess he's gonna be really happy tonight =D

That is cool. I'm not a huge fan of cooking so I don't have nearly all the recipes one might but whenever I stumble upons something... I will definately post it!
