It just keeps raining

It has been raining for a week now. Our creeks are filled and rushing over roads. Not supposed to stop raining until Friday. Scary part is the 20-40mph winds with gusts up to 60mph. This is too much winter.

I read somewhere recently that approximately 60% of California is now considered not under drought anymore thanks to all the rain. I think that's probably good news, even with the water running over the creek beds and into the road.

We were in California last week and it rained 3 days out of 6. Only one day was really hard rain where they had flash flood warnings, but there was a fair bit of drizzle on and off in SoCal. On our last day I took a walk around the neighbourhood (i.e. the other direction from Disneyland where the locals actually live) and it just cemented my desire to move to SoCal. I LOVE it there. I would love to live somewhere where there's no snow. I am done with -30C and shovelling for 5 months. My kids went swimming in the hotel's outdoor pool on the 2nd last day because it was 22C and sunny. I mean ... how can you not love that?

But I do hope it gets better for you. Not enough rain to too much - Mother Nature just never seems to get the balance right!

You can see it here:

It is actually crazy how much of a change there has been in a two month span. And we aren't even through our rain season window which usually halts all activity in May though actual "storms" tend to stop in March. And right now we are on another week long rain cycle. It is like we are Washington state.

I know right? I just watched LA LA Land and it uses the season for time passage and something I noticed is people in the movie wore shorts and swan the entire year. LOL

Thanks.

It good. I'm glad you're getting the rain you need. Years of drought is difficult to live in. Not that I'd know personally ... we have a good 4 feet of packed snow so there'll be a ton of water come April when it starts to melt. :)

I haven't seen that movie yet. Is it good? Most of the reviews I've seen are positive but I've read one or two where people said it was really overrated. I'll probably wait to rent it or for it to come to Netflix, but I'm curious.

Me too. Still getting it too. It went a little warm here for a while... Spring like but now it is dark and stormy again.

I liked it but I wasn't super into it like everyone appears to be. I just thought it was good... not even Oscar level good though.
