This time the answer is FAMILY!
I am fortunate enough to live close to not only my immediate family by some of my extended family as well. That means amongst my friends there are cousins and cousins-in-law. For me the beauty of this is getting to see the extension of my family grow because I get to be there to see my cousin's children grow up. The other advantage, there is typically someone in the family who can help you with anything. This means if you need help getting someone to an appointment or if you just need to borrow a vehicle, they are usually ready and willing.
Don't get me wrong, there is a downside too. First, they tend to be in your business about everything. And it is harder to get mad at them because you will be seeing them more often than not. Second, you probably feel obligated to purchase or use the services your family provides in the community whether you could find a better deal or not. Third, no matter how hard you try there is going to be someone in your family you can't get along with.
But the thing is that is usually true for them as well and for me no matter how annoyed I get, I'm grateful for them because when I need someone they are there. Admittedly there are a few I'd like to vote off the island but with anything... small doses and try not to rile them. LOL
Plus, in my family they are pretty good cooks so the other upside about seeing them enough is all the good food to try or get the recipe to make. Total bonus.
What are you grateful for today?
